Parking Program Update: Vehicle Registration
Dear Valued Residents,
We are pleased to announce that we are revamping the parking program, which will go live in the near future. These changes and updates will address the persistent parking issues in our community.
In light of the revamped parking program, we will need all residents to re-register their vehicles and ensure proper California DMV licensing practices are being followed. In order to correctly enforce and identify non-resident vehicles parked on our streets, we require all residents to complete the following steps by May 31, 2026:
1. California License Plates Required
All permitted vehicles parked in the community must display valid current California license plates.
California law requires that all out of state vehicles relocating in the area must register their vehicles within 20 days of bringing the vehicles in the state. Please visit the DMV offices or go to the DMV website for information and instructions on registering your vehicles: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/how-to-9-register-a-vehicle-from-out-of-state-nonresident-vehicle/
Exception: Registration is not required on vehicles parked in the residents’ garages.
2. Register your vehicle(s) with the Management Office
Please provide the following information for each vehicle:
· Vehicle make (e.g. Honda)
· Vehicle model (e.g. Pilot LX)
· Vehicle color
· California license plate
Registering your vehicle ensures that each vehicle is properly identified, associated with the resident(s), and authorized to park on-site.
Unauthorized or unregistered vehicles will be subject to ticketing and/or towing in accordance with the community guidelines.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to improve the parking experience for all residents. If you have any questions or need assistance with the vehicle registration process, please contact us at (650)725-2000 or email us at stanfordwestapartments@stanford.edu.
Sincerely,
Stanford West Management Team
