Community Herb Garden

Stanford West Apartments offers an herb garden available for all residents to enjoy. The Community Herb Garden is located between buildings 13, 14, 17, and 18. The herb garden is maintained by our Landcare team and features seasonal herbs and vegetables such as cilantro, tomatoes, radishes, squash, and raspberries. Residents are welcome to take what they need.

Community Vegetable Garden

In addition to our herb garden, in the center of Stanford West Apartments is our beautiful Community Vegetable Garden for plant material, vegetables, flowers, berries, and herbs maintained by Stanford West residents. An annual raffle is held each Spring for interested residents. The program provides an opportunity to participate by auctioning off small garden plots each year. Winners of the raffle are allowed to use one plot for a year. Residents interested in participating are invited to enter the drawing, and 42 individuals will be selected.

The Stanford West Community Vegetable Garden Program constitutes a completely organic gardening project. Each community garden site is maintained by the resident gardeners and all gardeners are expected to help on scheduled work days.
