Community Guidelines & Reminders: Patios, Balconies, and Common Areas
Dear Valued Residents,
As the summer season approaches, and as we continue to enjoy the use of our balconies, patios, and common areas, we would like to provide a reminder of the community guidelines associated with these spaces.
We ask that you review the following information carefully to ensure compliance with community standards. Please note that units remaining noncompliant will be issued a personal notice of Lease Violation. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable community for all residents.
Patio and Balcony Guidelines
Permitted Items
Residents may keep the following items on patios and balconies:
- Outdoor furniture
- Camping-sized gas grills (maximum 1-pound liquid propane tank)
- Neatly arranged plants within the patio or balcony area
- Any items hanging must be hung by command strips.
Prohibited Items & Activities
The following are not allowed:
- Hanging rugs, towels, clothing, or other items from windows, railings, or common areas
- Placing any items (including plants, lights, or clothing) on or outside of railings
- Using patios or balconies for storage
- Drilling nails, hooks, or any other items that cause structural damage
Please note: Patios and balconies serve as emergency egress areas and must remain clear and unobstructed at all times. As of June 26, 2026, we will be resuming our ongoing patio and balcony inspections. Any noncompliant patios or balconies may be issued a Lease Violation Notice following the inspection.
Plant Guidelines
- Plants may not be installed on railings or attached to walls by drilling or other means.
- Planter boxes mounted on railings are not permitted, as they may cause structural damage.
- All plants must be placed in pots and elevated on stands. If stands are placed directly on the floor, a saucer is required to prevent water damage or spills.
- Units with designated planter boxes outside windows may use them, provided all plants remain in individual pots.
